Progress works for Base-Butaro-Kidaho road project
Connecting key infrastructure
The Base-Butaro-Kidaho road will play a vital role in improving access to several critical facilities, including the Butaro District Hospital, which is renowned for its cancer treatment services, and the University of Global Health Equity (UGHE), located in Butaro. These facilities are located in Butaro, and they are key players in healthcare and education in Rwanda, making the road a crucial link for students, healthcare professionals, and patients alike. The new road will contribute significantly to the region's development by enhancing the movement of goods, people, and services, and improving the overall quality of life for residents.
A step towards better regional connectivity
Once completed, the paved road will significantly reduce travel time and costs, improving trade and tourism opportunities in the area. This important project is expected to have a long-lasting positive impact on local economies, as it will foster easier access to markets, services, and healthcare.
RTDA (Rwanda Transport Development Agency) is committed to delivering this important project, ensuring that it is completed efficiently and to the highest standards, contributing to Rwanda’s vision of a well-connected and modernized road network.
